The Doctor of Philosophy program in Marketing is designed to train highly qualified specialists capable of effectively combining and performing professional and research activities based on the use of modern marketing tools and advanced approaches in contemporary science and practice. During the program, students will acquire and develop professional and academic skills and competencies, including the ability to solve systemic tasks in the field of marketing in a changing and dynamic environment. They will master the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activities, techniques for conducting their own scientific research, which will feature scientific novelty, theoretical, and practical value.
Marketing PhD candidates have the opportunity to realize themselves both as practical specialists and as academic researchers. They can work as heads of marketing and public relations departments, marketing consultants, production optimization consultants, market research and public opinion analysis managers, researchers, university lecturers, or even engage in their own business. The program includes an educational component (methodology and methods of scientific research, scientific project management, scientific paper preparation techniques, global marketing trends, marketing modeling) and a scientific component that involves conducting research. The department supports candidates in their academic pursuits, creating conditions for participation in international conferences, internships in programs of interest, collaboration with leading domestic and foreign academic partners, and writing scientific grants.
Candidates can join the Scientific Society of Students, Postgraduates, Doctoral Students, and Young Scientists (NTSA) at Sumy State University. Participation in NTSA allows them to become part of a team of like-minded young individuals, delve into scientific creativity, and receive support for the implementation of innovative ideas and projects.
